1. Proposal We have not yet come up with a precise mission statement for MTVJUG. However this set of purposes and non-purposes describes where MTVJUG could go.

   We want a place for Java developers to share experience and knowledge. 
   We do not care about evangelizing Java. 
   We want to address technical questions. 
   We want to discuss language issues. 
   MTVJUG is not about web page design. 
   We are interested in tools for Java developers. 
   We will not make product recommendations. 
   We want to talk about issues in Java lang. 
   We would like to evaluate tools for Java Developers. 
   We do not want to grow too much. 
   

Since the time these goals were set, we have come a long way. We will be revisiting these mission statements to come up with a precise statement that describes what MTVJUG is all about.
